The Boston Celtics returned to the famous Parquet floor on their home court to close out their second round playoff series Wednesday Night May 9, 2018. The amazing thing is they continued to show their resiliency in bouncing back right away when the team faces big disappointments.

This season has had many unexpected setbacks since it started but the Celtics just keep winning. They had the brooms out two nights ago and were looking to sweep Philadelphia so they can rest to face a tough Cavaliers team led by Lebron James continued clutch play eliminating the Raptors in 4! Instead they lost game 4 and got many Celtics fans worried about a gruels Ng drawn out series.  Complicated by this was the fact that Coach Brad Stevens was snubbed by his fellow NBA coaches in Coach of the Year voting even though he has done a remarkable job with a battered core along with a young inexperienced group of up and comers.

What could the NBA coaches be thinking when Brad Stevens puts up the stats. Could they be in disbelief at it all? It appears so as Brad Stevens should be in the top 3! As he would say though ...” oh well” there are many more bright seasons to go for this young Basketball mastermind!

As far as players go though.... both Terry Rozier and Jayson Tatum have been lights out in leading the Celtics in scoring down the stretch! Tatum is even putting up Larry Bird like rookie records in his first NBA playoffs. Not bad for being Irving’s backup most of the season.

The team defense orchestrated by Coach Stevens after many hours of reviewing Game tapes has resulted in the Celtics making wise defensive decisions in the final minutes of games. It really has been impressive how they seem to anticipate the other teams moves and tendencies. If a team defense can stop the scoring machine that is Lebron James it definitely looks to be the Boston Celtics!

Especially on their home floor....don’t ever underestimate this young Celtics team! They shockingly lost Kyrie Irving for the playoffs and are still playing soectacular team basketball 🏀 to help out the playoff experienced Marcus Smart, Al Horfotd, etc. They rally around the simple motto C us Rise!

They have done just that time after time and now face the scenario they have been playing for all season!!! Celtics vs. the Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals!!! What a great matchup and series this looks to be as this little team that could even when constantly counted out, looks to add Boston Celtics Championship Banner #18 ASAP!

The stage is set... get ready Boston nation because this series is gonna be one to see! Go Celtics Go!
